The longer we live, and as fiat currencies bounce around in this chaotic economy, we’ll come to realize that the wealth really is in our relationships. Our circle of influence includes friends who accept our quirks, business acquaintances who respect our integrity, and animals that teach patience and presence.
What do we want in relationships? In friendships, we want ease. In business, we want progress. And both thrive on the same foundations: trust, clarity, and care. Here are a few of the best characteristics that show up as our best relationships grow:
The individuals we build with, both personally and professionally, shape who we become.
Dogs and their devotion of presence
Dogs don’t ask you to perform. They ask you to be present. They notice what is really going on in your nervous system. What great metrics they provide! Are they relaxed and chill? Are they hyper and unable to make eye contact? If dogs are acting out, the first thing to do is to look at our own energy. Remember, dogs are animals that respond to consistency, tone, and attention. Similar to humans.
If you want a masterclass in relationship, spend time with a dog. They’ll show you what matters: show up, be kind, be steady.
Relational wealth compounds. With friends. With colleagues. With dogs. Watch for our blog about Relational AI because we are tying in this theme of the wealth is in the relationship, even with AI.
